the great river's best-kept secret

lake road campground

Lake Road Campground is home to 23 RV Sites and 2 Studio Cottages.

This site began service as a recreational rental property in 1963, when 14 individual cabins were moved intact from the south side of La Crosse, WI, to this site in Trempealeau on beautiful Lake Road.

The cabins were the former "Krause Kourt Kabins" and were located at Hwy 33 and Losey Blvd in La Crosse. Upon arriving on Lake Road, the cabins and the recreational site were renamed "Green Gable Camp" and included RV and tent camping as well as the cabins.

The area was also known as "Sportsman's Paradise."

In 2006, the name was changed to Mulberry Meadows River & Lakes RV Resort. With only 2 of the original cabins left, (Studio Cottages & Bathhouse), Mulberry Meadows used much of the original infrastructure and completed the campground with 20 RV water & electric sites.

In 2020, Lake Road Campground became the new name with a new charm. Great amenities were added, including Satellite TV, Wi-Fi, on-site firewood, a dog park, pool passes, kids play area, upgraded patios and gravel pads on every site. Lake Road Campground is cozy, quiet, charming and one of the Great River's Best Kept Secrets!
